Potato cauliflower dry fry with curd: An Indian delicious veg delite (Alu gobi dry fry masala)
Here comes one of the best white delite for foodies."cauliflower". In India this is popularly called as "gobi" or "fool gobi". This nutritious veggi. is very much popular across the world for its delicious taste. It becomes more tasty when cooked in Indian style.
Can be fried with noodles, pasta and other western stuffings.But it tastes amazing when they are blend with some super indian spices. They can be used in some typical indian recipes like khichadi, Poha etc.
Out of all Indian gobi dishes.Mine favourite is the " Aalu gobi dry fry masala with curd".
Wanna try this very easy and amazing recipe.
For this
Ingredients: (2-3 person)
Raw materials:-
cauliflower- 1 (medium size)
🥔 potatoes- 4-5 ( small size)
Thick plain curd - 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 10 gm
Onions- 3-4 small sized
🍅 tomato- 2 (medium size)
Green chilli- 2-4
Spices :-
Cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder-1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- half teaspoon
Table salt- as per your taste
Typical indian sabji masala/ chicken masala- 50 gm
Black pepper powder- pinch of ( for taste)
Red chilli - 1-2 ( optional)
For garnishing:-
Fresh coriander leaves
Process:
Chopp Gobi in medium size since it remain in its shape after cooking
Steam potatoes in a pot and slice them into quarters.
- place a frying pan on a low flame
- add some mustard oil for the indian taste
- put some cumin seeds and chilli slices in hot oil . Stire for some time.
- then add the slices of onions into it and fry till the onion turns into very light brown colour
- add the sliced gobi ( cauliflower) and put 1 teaspoon of common salt and half teaspoon of turmeric powder into it. cook for 2 minutes.
-Add quarter cup of water and put a lid over the pot.
- After 5 minutes put out the lid and stire the veggies gently . Then add the ginger garlic paste along with cumin,coriander,and mix masala ( chicken masala/ sabji masala ) and cook well
- cook it for 10 minutes and then add the sliced boiled potatoes in the pot and put 1 cup of curd and sliced tomatoes into it.
Cook till all the spices gently mixed into vegetables uniformly and oil leaving the corners of the veggies.
Then add 1 cup of water into it and boil it for 2 minutes.
Garnish the fry with some fresh coriander leaves.
You can try it with indian parathas, nan ,chapattis, kulcha and also with boiled rice ,fried rice etc.
Enjoy the rich taste of indian food.
(If you wanna add some more spices then you can add chilli falkes and black pepper powder. )
